A safe tour starts before departure

Before start we check vehicles, fit gear, explain rules and confirm the route by weather. On ATVs and snowmobiles the guide leads the group; on Envix and jeep tours the driver-guide is at the wheel.

Safety on popular routes

We run popular routes and groups, so safety is prepared in advance: vehicles, gear, forecast, pace and clear guest rules.

Vehicle check

Before departure we check steering, brakes, suspension, fuel and vehicle readiness for the exact route.

Gear provided

We fit helmets, protection and suits by weather, size and format: ATV, snowmobile, rafting or hiking.

Weather control

If a location is unsafe, we reschedule or suggest another popular route.

Group pace

On ATVs and snowmobiles the guide leads the group; on Envix and jeep tours the driver-guide is at the wheel.

General safety rules

  • No riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • No riding without a helmet; wear protective gear, goggles, gloves and closed shoes.
  • Age limits: riders under 7 are not allowed to drive.
  • Do not exceed the ATV load limit.
  • Check the vehicle before the ride.
  • No repairs with the engine running.
  • Do not touch moving parts or hot engine/exhaust components.
  • Start moving smoothly.
  • Keep hands on the bars, feet on the footrests.
  • Use minimal speed in unfamiliar areas.
  • Do not take sharp turns at high speed.
  • Before a U-turn, ensure no people or obstacles behind you.
  • Do not tackle large obstacles without training; no stunts.
  • If submerged, kill the engine immediately.
  • Brake in advance.
  • Avoid wet brakes; wet pads work poorly.
  • On snow/slippery surfaces — low gear, no sharp maneuvers.
  • Avoid stopping or starting on steep climbs.
  • ATVs are not for public roads or asphalt.

Strictly prohibited:

  • Riding while intoxicated.
  • Ignoring safety rules.
  • Riding without a helmet.
  • Letting kids under 7 drive.
  • Removing feet from rests or hands from bars.
  • Leaving the route or entering public roads.
  • Ignoring instructor commands.
  • Overtaking the instructor or group.
  • Deliberately lagging >50 m from the group.
  • Intentional collisions or ramming obstacles.
  • Provoking collisions; performing jumps or stunts.
  • Wearing unsuitable clothing or riding with loose hair.

ATV handling specifics

  • Read the manual and recommendations.
  • Never hold children in your arms or on your knees while driving.
  • Do not carry children under 12 on the rear seat.
  • Do not let untrained kids drive.
  • Always wear a helmet and protective gear.
  • If no gear, wear dense long-sleeve clothing, gloves and goggles.
  • Brief the child before they operate the vehicle.
  • Use an instructor if you lack skills.
  • Do a test ride to get familiar with the vehicle.
  • Choose an ATV according to skills and fitness.
  • Keep speed appropriate to terrain and weather.

Start, maneuvering, braking

  • Do not overload; secure cargo.
  • ATV without load is more stable in turns.
  • Start smoothly.
  • If skidding from sharp acceleration — ease the throttle.
  • Speed above 15 km/h requires experience.
  • Slow down before turns and use low gear.
  • Brake early; on slippery surfaces use intermittent braking.

Uphill

  • Climb straight up at low speed.
  • Keep steady throttle, shift weight forward.
  • Feet on rests, hands on bars.
  • On a stop use both brakes; when resuming shift weight uphill.
  • Do not start the engine on a steep slope.

Full turn on a slope

  • If the engine stalls on a climb — prevent rollback and turn around.
  • Park, ignition off, exit from uphill side/left.
  • Stand uphill of the ATV, turn bars fully left, roll to perpendicular.
  • Park, sit from uphill side, weight to the slope.
  • Start, first gear, move gently to flat ground.
  • If rolling downhill — lean uphill, steer downhill, exit uphill and kill the engine.

Downhill

  • Inspect the slope before descent.
  • Avoid uneven, loose, slippery slopes.
  • Descend straight down at low speed.
  • Use low range, shift weight back.
  • Rear brake main, front auxiliary.
  • Use engine braking on long descents.

On slippery surfaces

  • Slow down before entering slippery areas.
  • No sharp maneuvers or braking on snow/wet ground.
  • In a skid, ease throttle, steer into the skid, shift weight opposite.

Water crossings

  • Choose shallow banks, avoid deep water/strong currents.
  • Depth no higher than footrests; if engine submerges, kill it.
  • Drive slowly, avoid obstacles.
  • Dry brakes after crossing with short presses.
  • Following rules prevents injuries and breakdowns.
